Taylor had a very good throwing day yesterday. Taylor took most of her throws with a 5k and 6k ball. When she switched to the 4k, Taylor hit throws like to one above.
We have been focusing a lot on her speed progression, specifically on turn three and the finish. Yesterday's big throw went a long way (no pun intended) into the dedication and work ethic Taylor has. Taylor is a very mature thrower. She is able to focus on what needs to be done at every practice. We really aren't concerned with distances. Right now we need to make sure that each turn is progressively faster with an explosive finish to complete the throw. Please leave any comments or questions you may have. Thanks for reading! Charles Taylor possesses all the tools needed to be a great hammer thrower. One of the tools we have spent the fall refining is her finish. The video above is one of the better finishes Taylor has hit this season. It was an uptempo throw. As Taylor becomes more aggressive in the circle, especially with her finish, the hammer will fly. I have no doubt she will hit big throws this season. As long as her third turn continues to get faster, the hammer will continue to fly farther!
